About infoNet

infoNET is a newsletter and website created by Iowa's Developmental Disabilities Council, and is a part of the ID Action (Iowans with Disabilities in Action) initiative.

Iowa's DD Council created infoNET to give advocates with disabilities living in Iowa the information, tools, resources, and opportunity to take action.

What can infoNET do for you?
  • Let you know what the Legislature is up to - and what you can do to make a difference.
  • Keep tabs on the Governor's office and state agency initiatives.
  • Suggest ways to make you more effective in your advocacy - and ways to make your message powerful and persuasive.
  • Report objectively on public policy being discussed.
  • Track legislation introduced.
  • See how your legislators voted on key issues.
  • Discover other ways to take action.
  • Share your stories, and learn from others.
  • Explore the tools available to make you a better advocate.
  • Suggest ways  you can be the most effective in your advocacy.

infoNet is a free service, available to people of all abilities.  You can choose to receive it by mail or email, or both.

Feel free to share infoNET with others.  You may use articles from infoNET for other publications, as long as you let us know and attribute it to infoNET, a publication of the Iowa's Developmental Disabilities Council, www.infonetiowa.com.
